Study, Train and Grow in New Zealand
Griffin Academy is preparing to welcome international students from 2027. Based in Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands, Griffin Academy offers a unique private school experience that combines personalised academics, high-performance sport, outdoor adventure, leadership development and family-style care.
Intensive English support helps non-native speakers build confidence quickly and transition into academic learning, social life and daily communication in New Zealand.
Students can follow either a British Curriculum pathway (toward IGCSE and A Level options) or an American Curriculum pathway (with GED preparation and, where appropriate, SAT preparation). These pathways can support future study in New Zealand, Australia, the United States, Europe and beyond.
Griffin Academy offers small class sizes, with a target teacher-student ratio of approximately 1:10 and integrated individual tutoring support. Each student is supported through an individual learning plan based on their level, goals, strengths and future direction.
Students take part in Griffin’s high-performance movement programme, built on gymnastics, trampolining, tumbling, calisthenics, parkour, tricking, functional fitness, Olympic lifting foundations and primal movement. Additional options may include basketball, tennis, surfing and outdoor training.

Griffin Academy includes ballet and dance for both beginners and advanced students, supporting posture, rhythm, discipline, strength, flexibility, confidence and performance quality.
Students experience New Zealand’s unique outdoor lifestyle through hiking, kayaking, horse riding, mountain biking, surfing, snorkelling, sailing and conservation-based learning — building courage, resilience, leadership, teamwork and practical life skills.
